System.hv problem and USB driver WinCE 5.0

Hi All, 1) On my PC-board (CPU: x86), I need to use the hive-based registry because I have to save the user's settings, permanently. Currently, every time my device boots, system.hv is "overtyped" despite the user's settings have not been modified, but this can damage the compact flash because it has a limited number of writing-cycles. Is this behaviour normal? Do you know another way to save permanently the settings? 2)Furthermore when I put the USB drivers in my OS image ("USB storage class driver"), PS2 keyboard and mouse don't work: when Platform Builder downloads the image in my device, PB shows this "debug-message": PS2Port::outputbufpollread: too long waiting for output buffer full. Does anyone know the cause of this problem ? Thanks a lot. ronin80
