After purchacing several dozen XPE systems developed by a very reputable manufacturer, I noticed that the systems did not have SP1. I contacted the manufacturer (this was in May of 2004) and was told that the was no SP1 update for XPE. I did some research online, and saw references to XPE SP1 everywhere. I even ordered and installed the XPE SP1 Eval Kit. It worked beautifully under virtual PC, Service Pack 1 and all. So I called back the manufacturer and told him that SP1 was available for XPE, that I had even used it. His response was that Micrsoft the XPE Platform Builder with SP1 was a beta and is not commercially available. The problem I have right now is that I've learned just enough about XPE to be dangerous, but I don't want to start harassing the manufacturer to update the system until I receive confirmation that XPE SP1 is available for commercial distribution. So, can anyone in this forum confirm that they are using the commercially available tool in a production environment, or am I just another Newbie who needs assistance removing his head from his ....
