Creating NTFS Boot Disk

All the while I have been creating DOS boot disk on CompactFlash for our embedded devices and then using BootPrep to boot later into XP before running FBA etc. This works well but DOS disks are usually FAT and for best reliablity in XPE it is recomended to convert to NTFS format later using the convert utility. It has been suggested that it is better to start with NTFS in very begining. So I formated an NTFS disk using an XP Machine and then copied the relevant boot files as outlined in the MS XP technical support: 1. NTLDR 2. NTDETECT.COM 3. BOOT.INI BOOT INI contents modified to suit XPE as below: [boot loader] timeout=0 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Embedded" /fastdetect Now I have trouble booting the device after BIOS checks. BIOS Message on screen is: "Operating System Not Found" Did I miss anything here? Welcome your suggestions Regards, A.Chacko XPE Evaluator DBT
