Is it easier to create components in Windows XP Embedded than it was in Windows NT Embedded?

Windows XP Embedded includes over 9,000 feature components, whereas Windows NT Embedded includes only a few hundred. Consequently, component authoring is less frequent. When component authoring is necessary—for example, to include your own application, service or driver—Windows XP Embedded provides tools, such as Component Designer and the eCONVERT tool (which can convert .inf files into components), to make this process easier. For specific instructions for adding a component, see the online product documentation on MSDN.
