This is simply a FREE way to get access to Windows CE .NET 4.2. 2. Can customers still order the Evaluation Edition on CD or DVD? Absolutely. Customers can still order from: https://www.interactservices.com/WinEmbedded/Products.asp. They will still need to cover shipping and handling expenses. 3. Does the downloadable version expire like the CD and DVD version? Yes. The download is also a 120-day trial version of Windows CE .NET 4.2 valid from the day of installation. 4. When will the Japanese downloadable version be complete? Very soon - at the end of September. 5. Will customers require a product key? Yes. We still want to track our potential customers, so they will need register for a product key at this website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/embedded/evalreg 6. Will the Emulation Edition still be available as a standalone download? No. The Emulation Edition is now part of the Evaluation download. Customers simply need to choose the Emulator BSP and will have access to the same technology as the stand alone download. The emulator will expire 120 days after installation. 7. Will the Device Emulator still be available as a standalone download? Yes. The Evaluation Edition does not include the Device Emulator, so this will remain as a stand alone download. 8. Is Shared Source included in the download? Yes. 9. Do users have to install all CPUs? No. Users get to choose which CPUs they get to install and download.
