Sasser is a new worm that takes advantage of PCs running either Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Windows XP Embedded-based devices that include affected components in the operating system image are affected.
Microsoft has issued a patch for OEMs to incorporate in their Windows XP Embedded component database, and it is available from the Microsoft Download Center. For licensed OEMs who want to redistribute this ⓤpdateas part of an operating system image, the patch is also available from the OEM secure site.
