Mar. 28, 2003 ElectronicsNews.com.au INTEL Corporation has introduced three new network processors that address the needs of many wired and wireless applications for the home, small office/home office and small to medium enterprise market segments. The Intel IXP420, IXP421, IXP422 network processors provide developers with a choice of integrated data, voice and/security features to meet the requirements of high-performance, cost-sensitive applications. The combination of Windows CE .NET and the Intel IXP425 network processor enables the rapid development of residential gateways and Voice over IP devices using the Windows development environment. Intel plans to port Windows CE .Net to the rest of the IXP4XXX product line in 2003. General availability of the Windows CE .Net development environment on the IXP425 begins in the second quarter of 2003.
